Truly could not ask for a more incredible return. Absolutely incredible work - the timing, the density and inventiveness of gags, the foley, the flow of it all. You've truly outdone yourself, I can only imagine how much work this took to make.

Really cool and bold adaptation, I love the sense of disorientation created by the harsh colour palette and editing style, extremely appropriate to the point in a Berserk story where the rules of the world break down to demons and madness. You've done an amazing job on the soundtrack especially, it calls to mind Hirasawa's soundtrack from the 90s anime but it's still definitely its own thing.

Berserk is not an easy work to adapt (many have tried!), *especially* as a solo animator, and while this is more of a rapidfire reel of the main emotional beats of the arc which would probably be a little hard to follow without the manga, the effort you've gone to is evident and it conjures a unique and powerful mood, which is the most important thing. You've made very effective use of limited resources. Can't wait to see what you direct next!

There's so much to be said for drilling into a specific aesthetic and the Ena series's whole encartacore vibe, the continual inventiveness of the imagery, is just instantly iconic. Hats off always.

Really strong cinematography, effective use of the 3D assets. I appreciate the use of symmetric compositions and the variety of character designs, and of course I have to acknowledge a mechaguro theme. Some of the animations and character interactions feel a bit weightless or limited (though this improved quite a lot over the course of the short), which led to some difficulty in connecting to the emotions of the characters, the main robot girl in particular. That said, the mechanical animation was really nice, I love the way she unfolded. The falling scene was also very strong. Amazing work for a two-person team.

Schuschinus, omg, good to see you on here! There is something truly brilliant in the stream of consciousness style of editing, and the passion and enthusiasm that fills every single part of this project. The rapid jumping between animation styles, the constant life and motion infusing the 2D; you have nods to Kanada school and the Animatrix and stick figure fights but this is still very much a project on its own terms. I am reminded of Jennifer Diane Reitz's works like Unicorn Jelly - I really really admire this sort of just 'I will define a whole elaborate scifi world to express my values using every tool at my disposal' sort of passion project. Fucking love every minute of it. Wanna be doing something like this tbh.

Great concept, super clean and stylish effects animation.

Genuinely not sure if this is exceptional nonphotorealistic CG which really perfectly replicates the visual qualities of a drawing, or exceptional traditional animation with a really strong sense of form (and the wireframe shot at the start to fake us out). I think the latter? I guess I'll only find out if I buy the production materials. In either case, great work!

All hand drawn except for the VR crowd dancing and the stage.

Honestly one of the things that drew me back to Newgrounds - caught my attention when I looked and I was like, damn, standards have gone up around here! A really great collection of entries, and a fantastic choice of song to anchor them all. Look forward to joining one of these down the line...

Art, through and through. The sense of comic timing, the surreal library of concepts, the ingenious sound effects, the logic of stylisation, the rhythm to the names - it's next level.

Trans woman, illustrator, becoming-animator, sakubuta. A pleasure to meet you!
